“…something ancient about community…” We see that Ted, as is his want, taps in to the value that S brought to our culture and how it was so needed at the time. I consider it remarkable that I was around to see it.

I was privileged to be able to attend (and also to film) this tribute to Harriet Benjamin, whom I consider one of the greatest women I’ve been honored to know. It was Ted at his most articulate, wise and compassionate, and when he was finished speaking, there was a collective sigh in the room which I took as disappointment that he was done speaking. Apologies for the shakiness – I really should have invested in a tripod…
